Providing sanctuary to vulnerable rodents and rabbits in Victoria.

Small animals are increasingly popular companions, but they face many welfare issues.

We seek to help meet the demand for small animal rescue in our community, and to eventually help reduce it through education.

We specialise in the care of high-needs, at-risk animals.

We pride ourselves on providing quality, individualised care to each of our unique residents, most of whom will remain with us for the rest of their life. At any one time, we have dozens of small animals in our care, many with complex needs.

Our morals and beliefs strongly inform our work.

Out of The Pocket Micro-Sanctuary is LGBT and woman-run, with a consistently anti-oppression vegan philosophy. We align ourselves to international standards of sanctuary ethics and resident care, with a commitment to constant improvement.
